It is that time of year again! End of year exams are around the corner, AP exams start next week, and the end of the school year is less than a month away for some students. Here is a presentation about how to reduce your test anxiety. Contrary to popular belief, a moderate amount of test anxiety can be good for taking a test as you become more attentive to the details of the test. However, it is good to be able to control your anxiety. The presentation below includes several short-term and long-term techniques.

ReplyDeleteGreat advice on reducing Test Anxiety. This is often a real problem that prevents students from being able to demonstrate what they know. With final exams, AP exams and state tests all coming up within the next month, this article is exactly what's needed right now.
ReplyDeleteThis is an issue that many students struggle with in school. It hinders their progress and prevents many students from passing exams. There is some great advice on how to deal with anxiety. Many students will likely find this helpful,especially now since it is the end of the school year and exams are here for some and around the corner for others.

What a great post! Text anxiety can be very detrimental to students who do know the material. I do agree that a little anxiety is necessary to make sure the test is taken seriously and little details are not missed. Thanks again for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI love this presentation! I have taught many students who suffer from test anxiety. As a teacher, it is so hard to know what to do with this issue. The students cannot be exempt from an assignment, especially a test, just because they feel overwhelmed. If we did that, all of our students would suddenly have test anxiety! However, we still want to help struggling students overcome ANY obstacle! Thank you for giving me a resource I can point my students toward!

ReplyDeleteIn my experience, I've seen so many students struggle with test anxiety. These are some great tips for students! It's very similar to what we teach in psychology, with teaching students how to de-stress.
ReplyDeleteThis is a helpful resource. I often encourage my students to take a moment to relax before a test or other important assessment, but without directions many actually don't seem to know how to relax! This will be appreciated among my more anxious students.
