  3. This article does a great job of hitting all the main points you should do when you have an interview. Being on time is very important. I always try to arrive 15 minutes early to help calm any nerves I may have. Tip number 3 was my favorite -- just be yourself. Let companies or colleges get to know you! This is a great advice for anyone to keep in their back-pocket.

  4. I can’t stress enough how important it is to leave a good first impression at many important situations in our lives wherever you live in this world! Sheel’s article provides great information and re-confirms to us that all those points should not be taken for granted. For me, personally, number 1 and 3 are great reminders! Good luck to the teenage readers who will be facing college interviews sometime soon!

  8. I really like this blog because most young adults have no idea how to act around adults and professionals. This article gives them very good tips on how to make a good first impression and it will help them when they interview for college, job, or even to meet a girlfriend or boyfriend's parents for the first time. Great job with this article.

    1. This article listed ten great tips to make a great first impression. The tips are great for employment soft skills, but they are also very applicable in day to day life. They are discussed thoroughly, but to the point. As a Career Development Coordinator, I have heard many businesses say that Tip #1 is the one that is most needed for young people trying to get a job and working in a job. Great article.

A lot of students won't know the importance of each of these bullets but by reading this infographic written by another high school student, hopefully they'll be inspired.

  27. This is great! My favorite is BE ON TIME! This is huge! So many people are late and it is frustrating to the ones on time. I feel like my time is very valuable and when people are late, my time is being wasted.

  28. This is a well thought out list. "Just Be You" is not something you see very often in tips on first impression. But it really sets the tone for meaningful conversation.
